The Sound of Art

The Sound of Art is a DJ battle record pitting the sounds of artworks exhibited in Manhattan (Side A) against those exhibited in Brooklyn (Side B). Ownership of this record comes with a license to sample the recordings to create new work. Curated by Paddy Johnson and Michelle Halabura, AxFxC, 2010 and pressed in a limited edition of 500.

The blue "river" between Manhattan and Brooklyn on each sleeve was spray painted. The pink logo was letter pressed by Amelia Grohman at Grohman & Daughters. The recycled sleeves were custom cut and printed by Stumptown in Portland, Oregon. Design by Phillip Niemeyer.
